Good news all around!

In fabulous news for me, I got staffed on a new role at the same client, which will start in January and go through June. Yippee! I really love my current client, DC is a great city, and the new role is right up my alley. Furthermore, I love that I can now start planning my travel for the next few months. I’ve already daydreamed enough about the month of January to have a few things already figured out:

Jan 6 – NYC
Jan 13 – either Charleston Marathon (where my bro and his wife live), Bermuda Marathon, or Bahamas Marathon. Anyone doing any of those? Anyone want to join me in the tropics?
Jan 20 – brief stop in NYC to change out my skirt suits for a snow suit, then up to Killington for a weekend of skiing with my brothers and their friends
Jan 27 – likely out to Arizona for the Yuma Marathon, where I won 3rd overall female, combined with some sort of spa/resort out there

In fabulous news for you, I fly home tonight, which means it’s likely that I can finish up my full Reggae Marathon race report. And if you’re extra nice, I may give you a Friday treat of part 2 of my 2010 NYC Marathon adventures 🙂

Now, bedtime for me – too much Christmas beer at our holiday party tonight! Favorite pick: St. Feuillen Cuvee de Noel.

  1. Hey Laura, I’m running the Charleston Marathon in January! I, along with 9 of my running group friends are road tripping it down from DC 🙂 We did the same thing to run the Mobile Marathon last January and had a blast, so it’s looking like it might become a tradition!

Which reminds me…anytime you want to meet up in the city (DC that is) for a run, let me know!

  2. So… perhaps there needs to be an Absolut(ly) Fit dinner? Or more appropriately, a workout followed by a happy hour? I will think about this for the new year… 🙂

  3. Perhaps an Absolute(ly) Fit run on the mall, followed by a happy hour?
I did a quick 4 miler today to go see the White House Christmas Tree all lit up 🙂 Highly recommend it.
