What I Read in January 2019

Only three books read in January, which means I’m not getting my year of reading off to a good start. However, I was sick this weekend and caught up on a lot of reading, so hopefully February will be better. I think I may just need to accept that with my other priorities, reading 100 books in a year may not be realistic for me anymore, and that’s okay.

I only read three books in January, but really enjoyed The Identicals (lighthearted) and An Anonymous Girl (thriller).

5 stars:

The Identicals, by Elin Hilderbrand: Loved this light and fun novel! At first I identified with Tabitha more than Harper, but Hilderbrand did a great job making them both twins empathetic until I was rooting for both of them. Great way to kick off the new reading year.

4 stars:

An Anonymous Girl, by Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen: This was an engaging thriller with some twists and turns I didn’t expect – I ended up staying up late to read it in two nights. However, I miss Sarah Pekkanen’s non-thriller books, which I thought were superb.

Any book recommendations for me? Follow me here on Goodreads to keep up with what I’m reading in real time.
