Percussive Massage Tool Review: Hypervolt vs SAFR X1

Hypervolt_vs_SAFR_X1

Today, for a little something different, I’m publishing a review of a new percussive massage tool that aims to help with muscle recovery. You may have heard about the Theragun, a handheld tool that serves to give you a deep tissue massage without having to go to a masseuse. I’ve read some articles praising its benefits, but didn’t pay too close attention until my good friend Sarah bought the Hypervolt – a cheaper version of the Theragun. She’s been raving about it ever since, and after trying it, I can see why – it’s much more intense than a regular electric …

Weekend Recap: Sick or Lazy? / Workouts Lately

SheTech_Colorado_2019

Weekend of February 9-10 This is going to be a pretty short weekend recap… but after Friday night, there’s not a lot to report! Friday was a very big day for me at work. I’ve spent the last few months planning for SheTech Colorado, a one-day conference for high school girls to get them excited about careers in STEM, and Friday it all came to fruition! I slept late, until 7am, and woke up to find that while my right knee was slightly better, my left knee was still really sore and tight. It loosened up the more …

This post is sponsored by Vocalpoint and Getaway 5K. All opinions are my own. This morning, I planned to start my day in my favorite way: running with several of my best girlfriends. A few years ago, my friend Heidi started a group email for early weekday morning trail runs. Now, we try to hit the trails every Friday before work. This year I haven’t made it out often due to a lot of 6am and 7am calls I couldn’t miss, but I was thrilled to be able to make it to Apex today for what I thought would be …
